In temperatures of 40C and high humidity the Orkney Triathlon Team put in a great performance to finish in 3rd place in the team classification. Bob Oag finished eight overall despite not being race fit due to a hip injury, and Willie Tullock put in a brave performance after a bike spill on the first lap of the cycle. Torquil Clyde and Tom Fay both put in strong performances - enough to push the Island of Man team into 4th position by seconds.
